100%. All the portrayals of working class people (apart from Jack) were that they were violent, alcoholic, hysterical, and stupid. Irish characters are bitter, brutish, and blasphemous (?) Italian characters are hopeless, overly emotional, and dramatic, and Swedes are mean, shady, and violent. The English working class characters working on the ship are cold, remote, and unfeeling about the plight of others. It's just a really weird tropey film.
