Ableism. Obviously I have enormous privilege here but that's my honest opinion. People hear 'wheelchair' 'non-verbal autism' or 'blind' and write people off. When you are forced to actually get to know David, actually spend time with him as a person, in a social setting, you have to see a human being, not a picture of a 'problem' society has told you not to want. Fall in love with how funny he is, how kind, how gentle, how passionate. Reality makes someone a human.
