Consent: your boyfriend gets it too
How good are you at respecting male consent?

I should preface this by saying I’m not calling a woman who has done this kind of thing a rapist. I’m not saying you’re Harvey Weinstein, I’m not saying you’re Jimmy Savile. I am saying, as a collective, we need to be better and smarter at understanding that men are just as subject to consent and non-consent rules around sex as ourselves. Men are allowed to have boundaries, respect, dignity, and autonomy around their sexuality and if even I, Little Miss Woke Feminist, slip up on some of these sometimes, we need to talk about it.
- It’s never okay for you to pressure a man into sex.
A man is not weak, pathetic, unmanly or failing you by not wanting to have sex with you. If he doesn’t seem keen, stop talking. No nudes, no complaining, no arguments. Just say okay and leave it. Immediately.
2. It’s not okay for you to just assume a man wants to see you in a sexual way.
