“If you knew he fancied you,” a man whined at me recently in the comments, “you should have stopped talking to him and being friends.” Unfortunately, this is incredibly unrealistic. I’d say about 70–90% of the men I know have hit on me or gone a bit googly-eyed at some point. Not because I’m a stunningly desirable goddess, just because I’m a woman that they have encountered. If it wasn’t me, it would be Janine, Clara, Bella, Sarah or Theresa the following Tuesday. Most women have had the same experience on this one.
