How long should you do “No Contact” for?

I got over a man I’d been in limerence with for two years in about two months by completely cutting off contact. I didn’t call him, text him, look at his social media, see him, or unblock him. It was admittedly worse than any diet or withdrawal I’d ever done, but it did work. Now, even though I still think about him sometimes, I am over him and ready for the next guy. And I’ll be honest with you, sis, or bro: I’ve never been able to get over someone who was still in my life.
You’ll be surprised how quickly the “love of your life” ends up becoming just a guy you used to know well once. Not because you’re a stone cold bitch: just because life fills in the gaps. Each day is a wave coming in from a world without him, bringing in new detritus, new interesting shiny things, and new patterns on the shore.
