Incels are just going for the wrong women: and blaming everyone else

Not all incels. But enough

Yes: a tiny, tiny percentage of men are so outside the range of acceptability on personality, appearance, lifestyle, and empathy that no woman on earth would go out with them. But the vast, vast majority are just totally oblivious to or dismissive of a woman who would actually want them.

I have some lovely, lovely female friends who have never had a boyfriend and would love to be with someone. They are very shy, introverted, and often a little bit hard to communicate with until you’ve got through the trauma barriers around their autism or speech difficulties, but deeply loving and warm women. They are everything incels claim to want: fiercely loyal, incredibly kind, and extremely reliable and trustworthy. They even have similar interests: some know everything there is to know about manga or anime, love sci-fi, some are phenomenally into video gaming, and know more about Lord of the Rings than I could learn in a decade. In short: the dream girl for the equally lonely, equally socially anxious men out there who just want to be loved. And they deserve nothing but love…
