Men are now so uncomfortable talking to women that they are using ChatGPT

Easy way to fail: getting a chatbot to do it for you

“Hi,” a man messaged me. “I enjoyed reading your profile. It was very informative, and clear. Those are important things demonstrate in online communication, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to write it. What did you enjoy about mine?” A bit weird. “You seem smart,” I said, “and I liked that you said enjoyed comedy.” “Thank you, I am pleased to hear you think am intelligent, and enjoy comedy,” said the man. “What are you looking for?” Very weird, because it’s in my biography, listed, and I’ve stated it in my profile. He couldn’t have read my profile and felt he needed to ask. “A relationship,” I said, already ill at ease. I was met with a wall of text.

“Thank you for sharing that with me. From that statement, I don’t think we are not aligned, but perhaps I should explain in clear language what I am looking for. I want to meet someone, and talk to them, and establish whether we get on. I want to make sure that I am attracted to a woman over a coffee or drink first, before discussing the prospect of a relationship with her. Does that make sense?” I was about to ask him what he thought a date was, but I realised I wasn’t interested. Yuck. Unmatched.

Just really stupid, or ChatGPT?
