Not at all surprising! How well you take tests is a massive factor in how well you score in an IQ test, so that doesn't surprise me at all. I was considered remedial at 6 and a child genius by 7: just undiagnosed ADHD, and indicative of how bored and unfocused I was on the given day. Never had any issues in school after that!
