We’ve all reached out to an ex or former friend and immediately regretted it. Maybe you were shot down at once, or it just became insistantly apparent that your bond was irretrievably broken. I know you’re sitting there sobbing and feeling like an idiot, but please don’t worry. It might feel like you’ve just taken a shot of heroin after a month sober; but you haven’t failed, you can do this, and you aren’t an idiot. At all.

You have an addiction. You are a recovering addict.

Getting over it isn’t easy.

Just get back on the bandwagon straight away. As in, now.

Oh yeah, join the freaky weirdo ex club, but it works. Write out thirty days, and fill out a box in green for every day you manage. You’ll be amazed how good it feels to turn…
