“Saying it like it is” is a form of bullying. I’m genuinely sorry if you were not aware of this, but if you were the queen bee, you were probably considered the bully by other girls and hated and feared for it. Girls who aren’t scared of ruining other people’s days were the worst. I get that hurts to hear but being “upfront” and not worried about upsetting others is something that marks you out as a source of anxiety and pain. You can be honest when it matters and still mindful of how others are feeling and need you to behave.
