The worst things a man can put on his dating profile (without realising)

I’m a woman. I’ve been a woman for 27 years. All my friends have also been women for that amount of time, and many of them look to date men for long term relationships. So these are my opinions, although honestly, I think the vast majority of women would agree, as do my friends, on these phrases and images being a ‘no’ for a serious relationship.

  1. “You’re not a couch potato who doesn’t take care of herself”

Ok sure, you don’t want someone lazy. And you want someone you’re attracted to! Totally reasonable, right? Maybe you just really love sports and good make up. But this reads as you caring a lot, a lot more than anything else about her, about your partner being slim. Thin. Attractive. And the big red flag here is that you look shallow and unable to feel deep attraction. That you’ll leave if we get sick, or older, or unable to keep up a 4 hour gym routine or hair extensions with 2 kids. It’s really not something we want to see in a potential partner.
