What to do when you’re madly in love with them: and they aren’t with you

From me, who has figured it out by herself

There is no way to make someone fall in love you. Let’s start with that harsh, very annoying truth. You can be nice, you can be helpful, you can make an effort with your appearance, you can even get that managerial job at Bella Italia, but none of that will ever, ever make someone love you. Ever. Love is fickle, nonsensical, bizarre, and totally illogical. Don’t believe me? Look at all the horrible, immoral, stupid, deadbeat, lazy, and downright goblinesque men and women out there who have some poor mortal tripping over themselves to win their heart. Dear ladies and gentlemen, I am asking, nay, begging you, to stop trying to win someone who doesn’t want you.

Tale as old as time: give up, now, move on, right now

Whether you are a boy or a girl, nothing is more annoying, creepy, or saddening, than someone pining after you and not taking no for an answer when you simply do not having any romantic feelings for them. She’s not going to fall in love with you when you go on that business trip to LA. He’s not going to fall in love with you when he sees you in that black dress. She’s not going to realise how many times you’ve listened to her complaints and say she has always loved you. He’s not going to realise how much nicer you are than his girlfriend. This person does not want you…
